WordPress Privacy Policy Text

Last updated: May 9, 2026

If you use the Proxylang WordPress plugin, paste the text below into your site's Privacy Policy. This is the canonical disclosure that matches what Proxylang actually transmits and stores. Translate it into your audience's language as needed; an EN/KO version is provided here for convenience.

Privacy Policy Text

We use Proxylang (https://proxylang.dev) to translate this site into other languages. The Proxylang WordPress plugin transmits the requested URL path and the visitor's User-Agent to Proxylang's edge network so that translated pages can be rendered for search-engine bots and language-specific URLs (e.g. /ko-kr/ or /ja-jp/).

What is sent: requested URL path, visitor User-Agent string, requested language.
What is NOT sent: visitor IP, cookies, form submissions, account data, or any visitor personal information.

Proxylang acts as a data processor on our behalf. Translation caches live on the Proxylang edge network and within this WordPress install. Per-visitor records are not stored.

For more information, see Proxylang's privacy policy at https://proxylang.dev/privacy and the subprocessor list at https://proxylang.dev/docs/subprocessors. To exercise your data subject rights with respect to data processed by Proxylang, contact hello@proxylang.dev.

Additional Recommendations

  • If your site collects visitor IP, cookies, or analytics independently of Proxylang, document those separately — Proxylang does not transmit them on your behalf.
  • If you operate in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, ensure your privacy policy also identifies your legal basis for processing (typically legitimate interest or consent for analytics).
  • Update the snippet whenever Proxylang changes its data flows. Material changes are announced at least 30 days in advance — see our subprocessors page.
