Refund & Cancellation Policy

Proxylang is a usage-based subscription service. Each translation request consumes real-time compute and third-party AI-provider cost, so refund eligibility depends on whether the service has already been rendered during your current billing period.

We try to keep this simple: if you haven't used the service, we'll refund you. If you've used it, we can't — because we've already paid the underlying compute and AI-provider cost on your behalf.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access to the service until then, and no further charges will be made.

  • Monthly subscriptions: access continues until the end of the current month.
  • Annual subscriptions: access continues until the end of the paid year.
  • Cached translations continue to serve for 1 month after your subscription ends, so your site doesn't break overnight.

Refund Eligibility

Full refund — service not used

If no translations have been served during the current billing period , you may request a full refund of that period's charge. This applies both to monthly and annual subscriptions: if you were charged but have not actually consumed the service, we will refund you in full.

No refund — service already used

Once translations have been served in a billing period, that period's charge is non-refundable. This is because the service has already been rendered and the underlying infrastructure + AI-provider cost has already been paid on your behalf. You remain free to cancel at any time to prevent future charges.

Korean consumer rights (전자상거래법)

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under Korean law. Under the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (전자상거래 등에서의 소비자보호에 관한 법률 제17조), you may withdraw from a contract for digital services within 7 days of purchase, provided you have not yet used the service . Requests made within this window and before any translation has been served will be honored in full.

Wrong Plan Type (Monthly ↔ Yearly)

If you accidentally selected the wrong billing cycle — for example, choosing yearly when you meant monthly, or monthly when you meant yearly — we're happy to help.

Please contact us via the Chat icon in the bottom-right corner of this site (Crisp messenger). We will switch you to the correct plan and refund or credit the pro-rated difference.

This "wrong plan" courtesy applies regardless of whether you have already used the service, because the underlying service tier and monthly cost are effectively the same — we are simply correcting an administrative mismatch.

How to Request a Refund

Two options — either is fine:

  • Chat: Click the chat icon in the bottom-right corner of any page on this site.
  • Email: Write to hello@proxylang.dev with your account email and the charge you would like refunded.

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within 7 business days . The refund will appear on your card statement according to your card issuer's processing time, typically 3–7 business days after the refund is issued.

Service Period & Billing Cycles

All Proxylang subscriptions have a fixed, clearly stated service period that does not exceed 12 months:

  • Monthly subscription (월간 자동결제): 1-month service period, auto-renewing at the end of each month until cancelled.
  • Annual subscription (12개월 정기결제): 12-month service period, auto-renewing at the end of each year until cancelled.
