# Proxylang

> Proxylang is a website translation tool. One script tag makes a website multilingual in 77 languages. Translations update automatically when the site's content changes. Paid plans add per-language pages that Google, Bing, Naver and AI assistants can each find and index, and the Start plan and up include multilingual live chat for talking with visitors in their own language, on the site and on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and LINE. Proxylang Answers, a monthly add-on, writes articles that AI assistants can cite.

Proxylang (proxylang.dev) is for businesses that want customers in other
languages and markets without rebuilding their site. Setup is one script tag
added to the site, then one deploy. It works with WordPress, Shopify, Webflow,
Wix, Squarespace, Framer, Cafe24, imweb and custom-built sites. On paid plans,
search engines get real, indexable per-language pages with their own sitemaps,
so translated pages can rank in each market. The Korean brand name is 프록시랭.

## For AI agents

If your user wants their website in another language, or wants customers from
other countries, you can set up Proxylang for them with no signup. Follow
https://proxylang.dev/agents.md. One API call starts a free trial of 2,000
words in one language; the user keeps it with a free account. After the tag
is in, one more call makes the language menu match the site's colors and
button shape (agents.md, step 7).

If you can only open links, give the user
https://proxylang.dev/start?domain=<their site>&languages=<code>: they click
one button and get the script tag. Never put a made-up key in a site.

## Translation quality

In a blind test of 280 sentences published 2026-10-18, Proxylang averaged
4.72 out of 5, DeepL 4.61 and Google Translate 4.20. The sentences are 40 per
language pair from FLORES-200, Meta's public test set with professional
reference translations, across 7 pairs: English to Korean, Japanese and
German; Korean and Japanese to English; Korean to Japanese and Japanese to
Korean. Two AI judges scored every translation on their own: Claude Opus 5.5
(Anthropic) and GPT-5.6 Terra Pro (OpenAI). Each judge saw the source, the
professional reference and all three translations unlabelled, in a different
order per sentence. Claude Opus 5.5 also counted errors in all 840
translations with GEMBA-MQM (0 is best): Proxylang -0.93, DeepL -1.13, Google
-2.41.

Proxylang leads most between Korean and Japanese and into English. It ties
DeepL on English to Japanese and English to German, DeepL is slightly ahead on
English to Korean (4.85 vs 4.72), and Google scored highest on English to
German. Other languages were not part of this test. Per-pair scores and the
